An international guest falls ill at your hotel: do your teams know what to do?

Your establishment welcomes international travellers. When one of them falls ill, the front desk is often left on its own: should you call 15? What do you tell a guest who asks for a doctor in their room? Can they get their medication without a prescription? DotKtor helps hotels guide their guests through these situations.

A practical guide for your teams

We have written an orientation guide for hotel teams: how the French healthcare system works from the point of view of a foreign traveller, the right reflexes depending on the situation, what to say — and what not to say — to an unwell guest, as well as the regulatory precautions, in particular regarding the GDPR, concerning the information your records may contain. This guide is available in your Institution space, free of charge and with no commitment.

Teleconsultation for your guests

A service connecting guests with a doctor by video is offered day and night, subject to medical availability, from the guest’s smartphone. The platform is translated into five languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. When connecting, the system gives priority, subject to medical availability, to a doctor who speaks the patient’s language. The fee is communicated to the client before any booking. The client receives a detailed receipt that they can send to their travel insurer. If the doctor considers it medically appropriate, a prescription may be issued, solely at the doctor’s discretion, for use in a French pharmacy.

No cost and no medical management for your establishment

No fees, no subscription and no commitment are required from your establishment. Your team simply passes on the information or relays a request from its Institution space. The consultation and its payment are handled without any intervention by the hotel.
